Art Curatorship

mahewa leads curatorial projects with a conscious state of the art of each temathic’s literature, with the notions of physical or metaphorical space, and text.

It acknowledges collaborative curatorial practices.

mahewa collaborates with local and international collectives, transforming (non) institutional spaces through tempory exhibitions that challenge the traditional exhibitionary meanings of artworks and their creators.

It disseminates projects in multimedia formats: such as podcasts, audiovisual pieces, academic writings, and non-academic specialized or general-audience pieces.

It offers Artwork selection for art exhibitions and accompanies the artists’ or creators’ development and process.

mahewa stimulates conversations between institutions, artists, specialists, and communities or groups of curious people.

The exhibition’s location can vary experimentally between spaces and non-spaces, with no institutional limitations. It only needs team work, genuine relationships, community collaboration and invention!

On site, in the city of Cali, Colombia, mahewa disposes experiments with installations and to meet collectively to share collective practices and ad hoc exhibitions.

Curatorship, as much as a methodology process, can be online and on-site; mahewa manages both registers of support.
